We have a new race committee who are bringing the iconic Idyllwild 5/10k back after a Covid-induced two year hiatus and the disbanding of the original race committee.
We are committed to producing a quality athletic event for all to enjoy, hence the deferment to June 3, 2023.

RUN, WALK, OR RACE in IDYLLWILD
Come to the mountains and take in the fresh air, spring flowers, and woodland views as you run or walk our fun and challenging course, which takes you through the forested streets and county park of Idyllwild, where there’s always a nice view of the mountains! Make a special weekend by joining us for a picturesque run or walk through scenic courses in the mountain village of Idyllwild.
After the races, explore all that our town has to offer — art galleries, boutiques, gift shops, gourmet restaurants, coffee shops, parks, and more!
If you still have energy after the run, Idyllwild is surrounded by some of the best hiking trails and rock climbing in the U.S., and miles of mountain bike trails. Or, you can choose to recover while fishing at one of the nearby stocked fishing lakes. There is a variety of accommodations available, including RV or tent camping, bed-and-breakfast places, cabins, upscale lodging, and more. However you choose to spend your race weekend, we know you will enjoy the picturesque course and the historic mountain village of Idyllwild!
START LINE LOCATION
Starting line for the 5k and 10k events is in the heart of town: 25070 Village Center Drive, Idyllwild, California 92549 [Map]
Starting line for the Kids’ Run (for ages 7 & under) is just around the corner at Idyllwild Town Hall, 25925 Cedar St. [Map]
Awards ceremony, which takes place after the completion of the final race, is outside Idyllwild Town Hall, 25925 Cedar St. [Map]

- 5K Race – 7:30 am
- 10K Race – 8:15 am
- 1/2 Mile Kids’ Run (7 and under) – 10 am
PTA Fundraiser Breakfast
For just $10 for adults ($5 for kids), enjoy a Continent breakfast, starting at 8 am next to Town Hall, and served through 11 am.-ish.
All breakfast proceeds benefit Idyllwild School PTA, providing programs and services for students and families year-round! More on the Idyllwild School PTA.
